Fully Organized Beaches

 

Barbati

This beautiful long stretched pebble beach is located 17km north of Corfu at the east coastline. The beach is organized and provides umbrellas and sun beds for rent, several restaurants, cafes and snack bars are available. You can do water sports or rent a motor boat to explore the calm waters at the east coast.

Glyfada is a sandy beach in the western part of the island. The beach, one of the most famous beaches of the island, stretches about 2.5 km and is awarded by the blue flag. Sun beds and umbrellas are offered for rent and several restaurants and cosmopolitan bars are located directly at the beach.Water sports are offered and the beach is easy accessible by car or local bus from Corfu town. Lifeguards on duty.

South east of Glyfada is Pelekas, a long sandy organized beach, accessible by car down a narrow winding road. The beach has 4 taverns and is gently sloping into the sea. As at Glyfada the beach is monitored by lifeguards and a warning flag system is in operation.

The long stretched village offers beautiful scenery along the coastline with 6 bays and superb beaches. Paleokastritsa is known for its cool turquoise waters and ideal for swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving and other water sports. On most of the beaches there are taxi boats, sun beds, umbrellas, pedalos and motor boats for rent. It is worth to visit the blue caves.

Secluded Beaches

 

Avlaki

Avlaki Beach is located at the north east coast of Corfu just before Kassiopi. Avlaki is nice pebbly beach with very clear waters. The beach is organized and has a few taverns. Even on the hottest days its pleasantly as a refreshing sea breeze keeps the heat away. Several water sports are offered and motor boats can be rent. The beach is quiet, easy to be reached and suitable for families.

Issos Beach

A long stretched sandy beach bordered by dunes, making it the widest beach of Corfu. Issos beach has clear, shallow and therefore calm water, is organized and provides umbrellas and sun beds for rent.

Mirtiotissa

Known as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe. Downright cliffs covered with bushes and trees drop directly to the sand creating a sense of wonderful isolation. At both ends of the long beach rocky capes offering snorkelling opportunities in crystal blue water. Mirtiotissa is unofficially recognized as the nudist beach. 

Rovinia

A pebble beach with exceptional natural beauty, close to the village of Liapades, this beach can be reach from the area close to Liapades beach via a hiking path. The beach is unorganized and no bars or restaurants are available. 

Santa Barbara

Beautiful sandy beach in the south west of Corfu, the beach is organized and sun beds and umbrellas are for rent.

Vitalades

The long, gently sloping sandy beach of Gardenos, one of the most beautiful beaches of Corfu, relatively unknown to most of Corfu's visitors and there is plenty of space for everybody. There is a free parking, some taverns, showers and umbrellas.

Agios Georgios Pagi

Agios Georgios is a fully organized beach with sun loungers and umbrellas. This is a place where both soft silky golden sand and pebbles are combined, in the most spectacular blend. The beach stretches for over 5 kilometers, boasting transparent waters and superb greenery. You may indulge in water sports here, renting windsurf boards and small sailing boats.

Krouzeri beach

Krouzeri is a pebbled beach located at the east coast of Corfu. There are water sport facilities on this beach, as well as a school for divers-to-be. The beach is organized, offering great options for dining by the seafront.

Messonghi beach

Messonghi is a sandy beach, ideal for both couples and families. Besides the warm sand, there are small shingles on the beach. From the beach you will be able to admire the azure waters and the mainland from afar. The splendid sea waters allow water sports like snorkelling, pedaloes, paragliding and other similar activities you can take up.
